Next stop for me is Scotland. I have changed my original plans (was thinking about going through France to get back to England), and instead, I am going to explore the land of haggis, kilts, bagpipes and highland dancing. Plus it is where my Dad grew up. Have been wanting to go to Scotland for a while, so I'm pretty excited. I am aiming to do quite a bit of walking to work off this week. Should be good.

Hi Catie!
ReplyDeleteWe have really enjoyed your Blog all about Rome, with some amusing photos! I particularly liked the papal lollies!!
Jane just phoned to say that they are safely home which is good. Bronte gave them a rapturous welcome!
She says you have been with Noel & Barbara, and Noel is now taking you up to York to show you around. It is a lovely city- John went to school there (boarding), and has some good memories. Hope you get to walk round the city wall. They get covered in daffodils and look wonderful then, but I think not for a week or two yet.
Hope you will enjoy Scotland- sounds a good idea to go now. Maybe you could drop by and see us again on the way south for Gail's wedding, or even after? Depends on your plans of course but it would be lovely to see you again, and we could visit some other places round here- the Cotswolds, Oxford, Cheltenham (where Charlotte lives) etc etc.
Give us a ring- 0121-445-6772 for a chat!
Have a lovely time "up north" and enjoy the haggis & neeps!
Much love, Manda. XXXXXXXXXX
